19th APRIL Wednesday: (ARIVAL AT BELGRADE – TOUR IN BELGRADE)

We will meet at Larnaca airport.  Departure - direct flight to Belgrade by Serbian Airlines.  Arrival.  We will pick up our luggage and go directly to the hotel in Belgrade.  Then we will visit the temple of Saint Savvas, the parliament, the central square, the Archdiocese and then we will head towards the modern neighbourhoods of new Belgrade.  We will continue our tour by visiting the famous Kalemegdan fortress, well known as the Acropolis of Belgrade, and from there we will be able to enjoy the panoramic view of the town.  Following a walk through the old historical centre and the famous Knez Mihajlova street with its modern shops.  Then we will experience a romantic cruise sailing on the waters of Sava and Danube rivers.  Dinner and stay at the hotel in Belgrade.  

20th APRIL Thursday: (FRUSKA GORA   -  SREMSKI  KARLOVIC   -  NOVI  SAD – MONASTERY OF KOVILJ )

After breakfast we will depart for a whole day trip, beginning with the exceptional Fruska Gora, a high altitude town with natural beauty lying on the endless plain of Voivodina.  We will stop at the monastery of Krusendol built in the 16th century.  Following a visit to the beautiful baroque style town of Sremski Karlovci.  We will continue our tour to the second biggest town of Serbia – Novi Sad, named as the “Serbian Athens”.  There, we will visit the metropolitan temple.  In the old town we will have some free time for lunch (optional) and then take a short walk.  Return to Belgrade.  On our way to Belgrade we will visit the monastery of Kovilj.  Dinner and stay at the hotel in Belgrade. 

21st APRIL Friday: ( BELGRADE – CELIJE MONASTERY  – LELIC MONASTERY  -  KRALJEVO) 

After breakfast we will depart with our luggage for the town of Kraljevo through Valjevo.  On our way we will visit the monastery of Celije to venerate the tomb of St. Justin Popovic.  A short distance from Celije is the monastery of Lelic where we will go there to see the tomb of Saint Nicholas Velimirovic, spiritual father of Saint Justin Popovic.  Then we will go for lunch (optional) at a restaurant in the nearby town of Valjevo.  We will then head south, towards the town of Kraljevo where we estimate to arrive at our hotel in the afternoon.  Room arrangement will follow.  Free time

.  We recommend you to walk in the city centre for a quick shopping or enjoy your coffee at one of the many beautiful cafes in the old town.  Dinner and stay at the hotel.

22nd APRIL Saturday : (STUDENICA MONASTERY – ZICA MONASTERY – VRNJACKA BANJA)

After breakfast we will depart for the monastery of Studenica, travelling along the river Ivar, passing through the foothills of high mountain tops.  The monastery of Studenica, together with the rest of the monasteries of Kosovo and Zica, they are considered to be among the most famous historic monasteries in Serbia. Then we will visit the monastery of Zica.  In late afternoon we will depart for the spa town of Vrnjacka Banja.  In this popular spa town of Serbia and of all the Balkans, we recommend you to walk along the pavement road, passing through the parks.  We recommend you to take a rest and have a coffee at the cafes in the city center as well as the small train.  Return to the hotel.  Dinner and stay at the hotel. 

23rd APRIL Sunday :   ( KARALJEVO - TOPOLA –ST. GEORGE OPLENAC  - BELGRADE AIRPORT)

English liturgy followed by breakfast, then around midday we will depart for Belgrade with our luggage.  We will pass through Topola, a cradle of civilization of the dynasty of karadjordjevic (Karayiorgis the Serbian, who is famous in Greece).  There, we will see the majestic church of Saint George which is founded on the highest point of the town, well known as Oplenac.  The beautiful mosaics that constitute the icons of the church, are made up of 40 million tesserae, in more than 10 different colors!! It is considered to be one of the great wonders of Serbia.  Topola is both a religious and a historical center of Serbians, because from this point the revolution against the Turks began.  We will visit the museum opposite the church and the house of Karayiorgi, leader and chieftain of Serbians during the liberation fight against the Turks.  We will continue on our route towards Belgrade, and we will make a stop at the outskirts of Belgrade to visit the temple of Archangel Michael and Gabriel of Rakovica and see the tomb of the famous Serbian Patriarch Paul.  Then we will head towards the mall “New Belgrade”, Delta city, to do your shopping or to rest until we depart for Belgrade Airport.

• The application form should be filled with all the necessary information i.e. passport no. or EU identity card and a €200 prepayment should be given the latest until 28th February 2017.  The rest of the amount should be given 20 days before the journey.
